Black Sky Blue Nabakothi Contemporary Khandua Silk Saree

Sky Blue is one auspicious colors of our tradition. The aanchal is black with the traditional motifs of flowers and animals. There are continuous lines one after one complementing the structure of the saree. The body is all dolled up with colorful motifs of yellow, blue and green. With yellow background and these little motifs makes the saree pretty for various occasions and celebrations. There are butterflies, flowers ,ducks, insects, cows and other little motifs. The saree with little works or motifs everywhere on the body make the saree really beautiful. The border is a traditional one with regular maroon motifs.

Khandua handlooms were originally worn by the women of Odisha during wedding rituals, as it’s considered very pious and religious. Khandua marks its origin at  Manibandha and Nuapatna of Cuttack, Odisha and is also known as Manibandha.  Khandua sarees are preferred because of  the high quality natural fibers like cotton and silk, which make them light in weight and easy to carry.
