The glorious piece of extra ordinary Odisha weave is one of the most beautifully crafted sarees in Sambalpuri Ikat Handloom saree. The Saree is Named as "Vishnu Mantra" since it has got vishnu mantra weaved on the pallu or anchal of the saree. The entire Pallu consist of elegantly crafted Shells ( Sankha) of bigger sizes with Golden colour threads which complements perfectly on the Black base. The body of the saree has a Black base with Golden dyed threads consisting of small and big shells (Sankhas) all over it making it one of the best and most exclusive Odisha Handloom Sambalpuri Ikat Saree. The blouse of the saree has got a Black base with small yellow rudraksh Bootas all over it.
Sambalpuri Sarees of Odisha are known as the finest handloom. Sambalpuri fabrics reflect an original style of craft known as Baandha Traditionally, craftsmen created Baandhas with images of flora or fauna or with geometrical patterns. More recently, new types of Baandha depicting portrait, landscape and flower pods are being designed. Baandha fabric is created using a tie-dye technique. The yarns are tied according to the desired patterns to prevent absorption of dyes, and then dyed. The yarns or set of yarns so produced is called 'Baandha'.
