Description

Laxmi Feet & Jhoti in Sambalpuri Ikat Handloom is one of most desirable Sambalpuri Ikat sarees. This particular Laxmi Feet Saree stands out for having a Sober Grey colour with Red Pallu combination. The base of the saree has a sophisticated Grey base with Laxmi Feet weaved in white in White flower. It has also got perfectly woven jhoti motifs in the middle. The border of the saree also as a different kind of jhoti motif representing Odisha's tradition and culture. The border of the saree has a Grey base with beautiful jhoti & shell motifs on the pallu. The blouse of the saree is maroon complementing the entire look.

Sambalpuri Sarees of Odisha are known as the finest handloom. Sambalpuri fabrics reflect an original style of craft known as Baandha Traditionally, craftsmen created Baandhas with images of flora or fauna or with geometrical patterns. More recently, new types of Baandha depicting portrait, landscape and flower pods are being designed. Baandha fabric is created using a tie-dye technique. The yarns are tied according to the desired patterns to prevent absorption of dyes, and then dyed. The yarns or set of yarns so produced is called 'Baandha'.

The unique design and enchanting motifs work on the whole saree makes it perfect for any puja, functions, and special occasions.
