This piece of Khandua has a lot of intricate work. The aanchal of saree brings in the traditions of Khandua. It is all green and brown with the traditional flower motifs joined together in a trail. The flowers are in light orange shade which gives a contrast. To this beautiful aanchal, the body is all pink. In the pink shade, there are tribal motifs all over. There are humans, houses, and flowers with little motifs making zig zag shade. The borders of this saree is green with golden threads. All of the threads of work together gives such a beautiful Khandua handloom.
Khandua sarees are auspicious and omen to Odia festivals and households. They are offered to the Gods and Goddess of Puri Dham. These handlooms are produced in Manibandha and Nuaptana.
