The ‘Tarabali’ motif is one of the oldest motif designs in Nuapatna Khandua sarees. The weavers from Odisha took inspiration from the scenic star studded sky, the flowers blooming around them, the chita-jhoti in their veranda and weaved the most charming ‘Tarabali’ motifs. There are multiple motifs embracing the twinkling stars of the sky.
