Scarlet Pink Tribal & Flower Motif Khandua Silk Saree
Pattern over pattern becomes a pretty handloom saree. With the cultures infused, these saree have a traditional pattern weaved over pattern. The aanchal of the saree is all animal motifs of deers, trees, and flowers of the colors like red and orange. The motifs on aanchal have a background of black color. The body is a pink shade and has motifs of doors. Every door has two dancers dancing and there are flowers beside them. The body looks like a stage for dancers with props. Golden threads are weaved together at the borders. The saree has beautiful motifs along with beautiful colors.
Khandua Patta Sarees have a pious and religious omen and are often a part of auspicious occasions in Odia Households. Kataki and Manibandha are other names of Khandua Patta Saree. These sarees are from the village of Nuapatna and special Khandia Patta have the texts of the famous play Gita Govinda by Jaydev.
