The masterpiece of Sambalpuri Ikat Cotton Saree is based on the marriage theme. The saree represents the motifs of Indian marriage ritual. The body is of dark maroon colors with motifs of the instruments used during Indian marriage ceremony, the barmala scene and the writings of Subha Vivaha in Odia. The aanchal of the saree is weaved with the various motifs of marriage rituals too. There is lighting diya, the swastika, the auspicious kalash, the barmala scene with the little motifs of flowers , shehnai , and the classic hastaganthi on the body and aanchal elevates the look of the saree. This saree‘s color combination is of dark maroon and red also makes the saree look a bit different from other collections. This classic piece is a great choice to wear during a wedding.

This piece of Sambalpuri Ikat Saree which is famous all over the world for its unique dyeing technique. The handloom has also got a GI tag for its exclusiveness.
